Recently we have been looking at using positional language to give directions. In groups we created a map of an island with features, such as forests, caves, mountains, rivers etc and then made a key to show what each feature was. We also added a scale to show how far 1km was. Here are our maps (don't they look awesome?)...
Our next task is to plot a course to tell someone how to get from the start to the treasure using compass coordinates (north, south, east and west). Hopefully we can all safely find the treasure!
