Wētāpunga

The wētāpunga are the largest of the giant wētā and New Zealand’s largest insect. There are many threats towards these creatures, including being prey to cats, rats, stoats and bats. Many are now living the pest-free island of Tiritiri Matangi. 

 We have been busy creating some posters to help raise awareness. Here are a sample of some of the finished products...
