The Shape Of Things

Recently, during our lockdown/online learning, we have been using apps to create pictures using geometric shapes.

The first task involved using the Pattern-Shapes app to cover a large shape with smaller shapes to create a picture...

For the second task, we used the Geo-Board app to create shapes and patterns...

Don't they look AMAZING?!?

  1. Hi Haumia. I really like the geometric shapes and vibrant colours you used to fill the pictures. I think they would be great for pinatas. Was there a particular shape that you favoured using to cover the pictures? Was there a shape that you found a challenge to use?

And the patterns you created in the second task are amazing! It reminds me of outer space, cool! Math & art go well together. I look forward to reading more blogs on your distance online learning. Keep up the excellent work Haumia. Ka pai.

  3. Hi Haumia
The pattern-shapes and the Geo-broad looked very cool! How did you fill in the colour between the lines of the Geo-broad? Was it hard?
