Life Education Bus

We had a session at the Life Ed bus recently. The focus was on recognising emotions in ourselves and others others, how to manage our emotions, and how to show empathy towards others.

Here we are with the Life Ed teacher, Natalie...

We looked at these images of people showing different emotions and used clues from their faces and body language to work out about what each person might be feeling.

We also discussed personality (the things that make us who we are) and how it is okay to be friends with people who might think, feel, act or do things in a different way than us.

We looked at a large selection of words that describe character traits and chose some that we thought would be good to have in a friend. Here are our choices...

Lastly, we talked about how we could show empathy toward others.

Hopefully we will be able to use some of the things we learned to help build better relationships with others around us.

  4. Hi Haumia, I like how you put the words under the photos. I also like how you put a lot of photos in, I think it makes it more interesting. Maybe in your next blog post, you could add some more detailed information.

  5. Hi Haumia all of you are doing a great job learning.
it looks like fun when you had to look at the people on the wall and you had to think about how they felt.
Maybe next time you could put more writing instead of photos.

We didn't get to go in the Life Education bus because something happened to the teacher.... Anyway of course this reminded me of when I went in the Life Ed bus for the first time! Maybe next time you could tell us how you know how to manage your feelings now

    1. Hi Toby,, thanks for your feedback. Yes, we did see Harold the giraffe...he hasn't changed much. It's difficult to say what the best part was (25 different students might like 25 different things!).
